Dear Congressman Burr,
I am writing to as an concern citizen of North Carolina. I am furthermore a concern family member whose brother is serving in our military.
I find it appalling, disgusting, embarrassing, and heartbreaking that you co-wrote a bill to give veterans an opportunity to find work easily when coming back home to only at the end NOT vote for it.
How dare you throw our troops and the people who are serving this country under the bus?
I despise that YOU and other Republicans do not have the heart and best will of the American people at hand, and you all continue to vote against bills that would help this nation. What kind of patriotism is this?
I have family and friends that are in the military, and I would like to think that our government will look out for those people who are sacrificing the ultimate gift given to them by God, LIFE. And they are sacrificing their life to protect us, to promote our interest abroad, and to make our country safe. And this is the thanks you Republicans give them?
I am ashamed that you are my Representative.
I hope your conscious weighs heavy when you sleep at night knowing that soldiers are dying for YOUR freedom, for OUR freedom. And you could not even vote for a bill that you co-wrote that would have helped our troops find jobs?
